Overview

Remi is a personal CRM that helps professionals stay on top of their network. Unlike passive reminder tools, Remi monitors relationships in the background and nudges users before connections go cold. With 7 integrations pulling data from LinkedIn, Gmail, calendars, and more, the design challenge was making onboarding seamless and surfacing the right context without overwhelming users. I led product and design from zero to launch.

Problem

Existing tools acted as passive reminders, not active relationship managers. We were building from zero with 7 integrations pulling data from LinkedIn, Gmail, calendars, and more. The challenge was designing an onboarding flow that didn't overwhelm users and a conversational UI that surfaced the right context at the right time without feeling noisy.

Process
I began by observing how professionals tracked their relationships across tools like LinkedIn, Gmail, calendars, and Notion. Through user interviews and workflow mapping, I identified key friction points: users were switching between 5+ apps just to remember who they last spoke with, context from past conversations was scattered, and follow-ups were missed because no tool connected the dots.

I audited how users onboarded into multi-integration products and where they dropped off. The data showed that complex permission screens and too many setup steps killed activation. With these insights, I worked to design a streamlined onboarding that connected 7 integrations without overwhelming users, and a conversational UI that surfaced only the most relevant context at the right moment.I also built parts of the frontend myself using HTML, CSS, and Cursor to move faster between design and implementation.

What I delivered

  • Designed and shipped the full product from zero, including onboarding flow, conversational UI, and dashboard across 25+ screens

  • Built an onboarding experience that connected 7 integrations in under 3 minutes, achieving a 70% activation rate

  • Created a conversational interface that surfaced context from 5+ data sources without overwhelming users, reducing average response time to nudges by 40%

  • Developed parts of the frontend using HTML, CSS, and Cursor, cutting design-to-dev handoff time in half

  • Grew to 20 active users within the first month of launch with zero paid acquisition

Outcome

Launched a fully functional personal CRM from zero with 7 integrations. Achieved 70% activation rate and grew to 20 active users in the first month with no paid acquisition. Built parts of the frontend myself using HTML, CSS, and Cursor. Validated the core concept and gathered insights for future iteration.
